Having worked for and represented numerous Japanese companies in their engagement with companies and technologies emanating from the Bay Area, I can safely say that the demand for accurate, current information is robust. With that, I’m happy to see this partnership between Japan’s btrax and San Francisco’s own VentureBeat, to bring VentureBeat’s Insight research product to market. Unlike traditional research firms that release prognostications from the ivory tower once per year, VentureBeat insight focuses on the area of growth – sustainable growth – and releases updated reports each quarter reflecting changes in the market. Btrax has a 10-year history helping Western brands enter and scale in Asia, with a focus on Japan; having worked with and knowing both teams, I’m sure the best is yet to come.
VentureBeat has also begun a content partnership with Japan’s The Bridge, a media, research and events company focused on trends in Japan’s startup community. The Bridge is running translated VentureBeat articles on its site, curated for Japan’s entrepreneur community.
